Spirituality

Love is unconditional. The mind learns how to love.

Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji, Born in Kiratpur, Punjab, India, 1630

Every day in the news there are stories about the plight of our planet. Climate change caused by humanity’s lack of regard for the natural world is a source of constant worry for many and the feeling of being powerless is real. Through his actions, Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji taught how to see Waheguru’s (the Creator’s) light in every living thing through the focused practice of Simran and entering the Dasam Dwaar (Tenth Door). In this way the value of all life, and to act collectively to protect it, is realised.

Sri Guru Har Rai Sahib Ji was gentle and kind. He respected the Jyot (Waheguru’s light) in every living creature and nurtured the health of even those who opposed the Sikhs.

Guru Sahib carried on the martial traditions begun by Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. He kept a constant mounted guard of 2,200 warriors while continuing to spread the message of Waheguru.

Guru Sahib founded a hospital and health research centre in Kiratpur, where medicines were dispensed free of charge and in abundance.

Through compassion and the understanding of how Waheguru lives in all, Guru Sahib continued to teach the message of Simran and the journey of the mind.
