BEFORE THE TOUR
WHERE DOES THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS DEPART FROM?
THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS departs from Campbell House Museum:
160 Queen St. W
Toronto,
ON M5H 3H3
The bus will be parked on Simcoe Street, just north of Queen Street, on the west side of Campbell House Museum.
Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled departure to allow time for check-in and boarding.
WILL THE BUS WAIT IF I’M LATE?
The bus will depart promptly at the scheduled time. Unfortunately, we will not be able to hold the bus for late arrivals, so please allow enough time to arrive, check in and board.
WHERE DOES THE TOUR END?
All tours return to Campbell House Museum at the end of the experience.
HOW DO I GET TO CAMPBELL HOUSE MUSEUM?
Campbell House Museum is located at the intersection of Queen Street West and University Avenue.
The museum is immediately beside Osgoode Subway Station and along the 501 streetcar route. It is also approximately a 15-minute walk or two subway stops from Union Station.
IS PARKING AVAILABLE NEARBY?
Paid street parking is available on surrounding downtown streets, subject to posted rates, time limits and restrictions.
Paid parking garages are also available nearby, including City of Toronto Carpark 36 at 110 Queen St. W.
ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE
HOW LONG IS THE TOUR?
There are two tour times:
Daytime Journey: 12:30pm–3:45pm, approximately 3 hours 15 minutes
Afternoon Journey: 4:15pm–6:45pm, approximately 2 hours 30 minutes
Travel times may vary depending on Toronto traffic.
WHERE WILL THE TOUR TAKE ME?
THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS follows the work of Toronto Biennial of Art artist Nirbhai (nep) Singh Sidhu across three distinct architectural, historical and cultural sites in Toronto.
The journey connects JOURNEY OF THE MIND at Campbell House Museum with Capsules Artist Resources and the Gursikh Sabha Monument.
Members of the without SHAPE without FORM team will accompany guests throughout the journey.

Daytime Journey | 12:30pm–3:45pm
12:30pm – Depart Campbell House Museum
12:55pm – Arrive at Capsules Artist Resources
1:30pm – Depart Capsules Artist Resources
2:25pm – Arrive at Gursikh Sabha Monument
2:55pm – Depart Gursikh Sabha Monument
3:45pm – Return to Campbell House Museum
Afternoon Journey | 4:15pm–6:45pm
4:15pm – Depart Campbell House Museum
4:40pm – Arrive at Capsules Artist Resources
5:10pm – Depart Capsules Artist Resources
5:50pm – Arrive at Gursikh Sabha Monument
6:10pm – Depart Gursikh Sabha Monument
6:45pm – Return to Campbell House Museum
Timings are approximate and may vary depending on traffic.
WHAT HAPPENS AT EACH STOP?
Guests will have time to experience Nirbhai (nep) Singh Sidhu’s work across each location. As the tour follows a set schedule, please keep an eye on the time and return to the bus by the departure time shared by the without SHAPE without FORM team.
WILL SOMEONE FROM without SHAPE without FORM BE WITH US?
Yes. Members of the without SHAPE without FORM team will accompany guests throughout the journey and will be available to provide guidance and assistance along the way.
WHAT TO BRING
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
We recommend wearing comfortable shoes and dressing for the weather. The experience involves getting on and off the bus and moving through several different spaces.
CAN I BRING FOOD AND DRINKS ONTO THE BUS?
Yes. Food, snacks and drinks are welcome on the bus.
As there may be limited opportunities to purchase refreshments during the tour, we recommend bringing anything you may need for the duration of the experience.
DO I NEED TO BRING ANYTHING FOR THE CREATIVE ACTIVITY?
No. Guests will receive a creative zine and everything needed for the reflective activity during the experience.
ACCESSIBILITY & FACILITIES
IS THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS WHEELCHAIR ACCESSIBLE?
Unfortunately, the bus being used for THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS is not wheelchair accessible.
CAN I BRING A STROLLER OR MOBILITY AID?
Yes. Strollers and mobility aids can be stored on the bus. Please note that the bus itself is not wheelchair accessible.
ARE THERE WASHROOMS AVAILABLE DURING THE TOUR?
There is no washroom on the bus.
Washrooms are available at Campbell House Museum, Capsules Artist Resources and within the Gurdwara complex.
If you need assistance during the journey, please speak to a member of the without SHAPE without FORM team.
WHAT IF I NEED A WASHROOM WHILE THE BUS IS TRAVELLING?
If you need assistance while travelling between locations, please speak to a member of the without SHAPE without FORM team, who will assist where possible.
ARE SERVICE ANIMALS PERMITTED?
Yes. Service animals are permitted on the bus.
CHILDREN & FAMILIES
CAN CHILDREN JOIN THE TOUR?
Yes, children are welcome to join THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS.
Parts of the journey include periods of independent exploration and reflection, so parents and guardians are encouraged to consider whether the experience will be suitable for children in their care.
ARE CAR SEATS OR BOOSTER SEATS PROVIDER?
Car seats and booster seats are not provided. Please bring any required child seating with you.
PHOTOGRAPHY & FILMING
Will photography or filming take place during the tour?
Photography and filming may take place during THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS for without SHAPE without FORM documentation and promotional purposes.
If you would prefer not to be photographed or filmed, please let a member of the without SHAPE without FORM team know when you check in.
REGISTRATION
WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I CAN NO LONGER ATTEND?
Spaces on THE BIENNIAL EXPRESS are very limited. If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your registration through Luma as soon as possible so your place can be made available to another guest.
DO I NEED TO BRING MY TICKET OR REGISTRATION CONFIRMATION?
Please have your registration confirmation available when you arrive for check-in.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS AN UNEXPECTED ISSUE WITH THE BUS?
A backup vehicle protocol is in place in the event of an unexpected issue with the tour vehicle. The without SHAPE without FORM team will provide instructions to guests if any changes to the journey are required.
